Our Coffee

Our Coffee

Coffee Matters produces five core blends to suit every client’s taste and budget. We are also proud to supply 20 of the top Single Origin coffees, although we can provide up to 40 different origins. All our coffees are available as freshly roasted beans, three types of ground for cafetiere, filter and a generic grind that will suit both. We also provide all our coffees in sachets format and all with a decaf option.

Our ethics

Coffee Matters pride themselves on their ethical stance, from the sourcing of their coffee to the donation of a percentage of their profits to charities. Our coffee company sources good quality green beans from farms and farmers that have consideration for their workers and also the environment. We focus on working with suppliers that pay a fair price to the farms and farmers, ensuring safe labour conditions and production processes that prohibit the use of some agrochemicals. Our coffee beans are also sourced from suppliers that train smaller farmers in processes that will boost yields whilst also keeping the use of the land sustainable for future generations. We also try and source coffee beans that have been processed in the most environmentally friendly way possible. As with all our coffee, traceability is the key and we make every effort possible to provide the information of how and where the coffee bean has travelled from.

Quality control

We receive and cup pre-shipment samples of all raw coffee purchases. Containerised shipments are strictly monitored at all stages of the journey, from origin to the roastery. Once the coffee has arrived at our warehouse, it gets another identification attached for our own use. This internal stock code will indicate its origins and any certifications it may hold. The raw coffee warehouse is maintained at a strictly controlled temperature and environment.
